Sanding and polishing machines of the type of the new Delta 6 Inch Belt Sander No. 1400, shown above have hertofore either been too small andlightly build to be of any value in the shop doing serious work, or else they have been too expensive to be within the reach of the small shop.
Here, for the first time, is a sander that is heavy and husky enough to do any of the myriad of sanding and polishing operations that may be found around the amateur or professional shop, and yet which sells at a price that brings it within the reach of every shop, large or small.
Into the design of this machine ihas goind all of Delta's years of experience in design and manufacture, experience matched by no other manufacturer in this field. It incorporates everything of practical value that can be built into a sander of this type, plus the highest grade of material, design and manufacture.
In addition to its many mechanical advantages, it is of pleasing design, nad the unused portion of the sanding belt is completely enclosed and guarded in accordance with stringent safety requirements. It is by far the safest and most thoroughly guarded machine of its type on the market, regardless of size or price.
