W.F. & J Barnes Drill Press

W.F. & J Barnes Drill Press

This is antique drill press that was given to me and I no longer have room for it so I am trying to get a value and sell it. I believe it to be mid teen to early 1920's but there is no date stamp on it just the manufacturer. Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Heather

Very Nice Cammelback Drill Press
by: Anonymous

Condition is everything. It looks very good. If it is not missing any parts, and I don't see anything missing, and if it has not been welded or altered, it should bring top dollar.

It looks like a table top version of what is known as a cammelback drill press. I would think it is probably worth at least $200. and probably more.

Your best bet at not selling it too cheap is to put it on ebay under collectables, woodorking tools, drills. Collectors will see it and bid against each other until its true value is reached. I would list $150. as the starting bid just in case the big spenders don't happen to see it the first time around. That way you won't be giving it away. You will have to be willing to crate and ship it though (at the buyers expense).
