Vintage Craftsman Belt and Disc Sander

This dusty old relic was a gift. As you can (barely) see, it's marked "Sears Roebuck and Co." not Craftsmen, however I assume it qualifies. Any information about how old it is would be of interest. I'm attaching a motor and would be pleased to know roughly what speed the belt should turn at.
