Vintage 1960s Craftsman Jointer

(South Jersey)

Got it from a lady whos husbond had passed away. Motor replaced with newer baldor enclosed type. Missing the swing guard item # 21170 also needs blades Item #33 18112. Catalog #9-2293. I think thr blades might have rusted from non use. Seems to be cutting straight even know the blades look rough. weight is probably 100lbs. came mounted on the 1/2 inch plywood table plans Sears sold as an option. The metal Stand cost an extra $10. I'm bracing the table and adding a dust shute to keep the sawdust off the motor. Probably paint it gray. Removed the 8 penny nails in the 1/2 inch ply wood. Need to either buy or make a safety swing guard. Reassembly with deck screws. I hope one day to pass it on to my son. Anybody out there make a swing guard? Thanks Chuck
