Old Tool

Hi, I got this from an old Carpenters Tool Chest, from around 1900-1920.

I Purchased 2 tool boxes from an estate sale. I cannot figure out what this tool is used for. If you know, please let me know.

Thanks,

Wayne

You have a mortise gauge. Each arm is set to mark the two sides of the mortise to be cut. This pattern seems to be used more in Europe.
