Antique Draw Knife

I just purchased a draw knife at an antique store. I am trying to find out if it has any value. The blade is about 8 inches long and branded into the blade is the name C.E. Cochrel. If anyone knows anything about this item, please contact me. My email address is ang050@embarqmail.com.
Thank you!

The item you have is a wonderful woodworking tool, it's value is only in the use it is intended for, not to be hung on the wall for decoration. I have been using them for 50 years for shaping wood, once you master the art of sharpening and using, they will remove wood very quickly and leave a fine finish with practice. No idea about the name of it, probably the name of a previous craftsman that used it. Maybe a wheel wright, they used them to shape the spokes and felloes of cart wheels as I have. Treasure it!
