Delta 10" Homecraft Band Saw

I picked up this Delta Homecraft 10” Band Saw at a garage sale for $25. It’s seen better days, but all of the parts are present. The table obviously has a lot of rust on it and the aluminum wheels have some oxidation on them from moisture. I think it was stored outside for some time as there are a lot of leaves and dirt on it.

I have another small open leg stand that this can sit on. I think it uses the same size stand as the Delta 4” jointers. Any tips on restoring this old saw would be much appreciated. This is the earlier version of the Homecraft band saw.

Thanks

wheel tires
by: Robert

I just purchased the same saw on Sat. 20.00, with no bottom guide, and one tilt radius missing. You got the Deal. The Top wheel is oil filled through a pressure bearing. I would say try to fill with a good grease, and the bottom bearing has an oil drip that you might get a zirk fitting in. I replaced with urethane tires from sulfur grove, they custom size diameter and witdth before shipping.Great Saw
