Craftsman 1/2

Craftsman 1/2" Wood Shaper

I bought this shaper about 15 years ago from an aquaintance who no longer had room in his shop. I have about 12 bits of various styles. They are all 1/2" diameter spindle size.I used it several time to make some custom trim. It worked like a charm. It has been in storage for quite some time now, and I would like to sell it. I don't know a fair asking price. Any info on this is appreciated.

Sears has nothing on it.

It seems like a decent tool, you should look into keeping it, though you said you don't use it anymore. You can't find nice tools like that anymore! I just happened upon this older Craftsman Lathe and Jointer, looking to either fix the motor on the jointer or replace it though, since the tool was in a basement that got flooded in 04', but the tool itself took about an hour to get in operating condition. You can't find quality like those 50's tools had anymore. It would make a nice gift for some family member or you may want to hand it down instead of selling it off to some stranger for a few measly bucks, but its up to you, and I wouldn't sell it for less than 7-800 dollars, since it is going to be a fairly rare piece, plus the quality of it should get you even more.

I found this shaper in a 1942 catalog. Originally sold for $39.95.

I also have the shaper.

I would be interested in purchasing this item. Seeing that you have not established a price, I will start the bidding at $150. However I need a shaper now, so I will be looking around for others.
Thank you for your consideration
