Delta 24

Delta 24

I bought this house from a relative of the original owner who did a ton of wood working. In the basement was a Delta band saw serial #59-3608. I don't know anything about wood working and I am interested in what its worth. It works great I turned it on and the light even works. What is this thing worth? I am going to clean it up and sell it to someone who will really appreciate it and use it. All of the wood working in this old house was done on this saw. I was told its pre 1945 before Rockwell bought out Delta.

I'd be thrilled to have you offer it up for sale with a reasonable ask price.

It's a 1934

I have the same model scroll saw - though I am just beginning the restoration project. I have the 1934 catalog and it's in there! Good luck with the saw!

Thanks

I bought that exact saw in 2008 for $125. Mine is attached to a heavy wooden cabinet with drawers for blades etc and clever mechanism for moving it when required. Looks like it came with the original saw. The saw works great and I thought the price was a great deal. I almost bought a used (2-3 yr old) 24" Dewalt for $250 at auction. Glad I waited for the Delta.
